Finally, I uploaded them! Whoopie! I think I just spent the last hour and a half resizing it all and whatnot D: Painful stuff. I only uploaded half of the murals drawn because I never took pictures of the other ones. I think I'm missing about 4 other murals.

Anyway, I shall recap a little about what these murals were about.

Our project for National Art Honor Society was to draw a mural. We were allowed to split into groups or go solo. You had to come up with a idea, place it in its respective place (the bio wing has to be related to bio, music wing related to music, abstract stuff has to be in either in a misc hallway, etc.) I planned to work with a friend, but she went with another group. Oh well. Individual it was.

Before I blab about my own mural, I shall talk about the Tropical Birds one.

My friend, who I shall call L, originally was going to pair with a bunch of her other friends. However, their proposal was denied (no idea why) and thus they had to either join another group or somehow make up another idea before the deadline which was in a couple of days. L did not have enough time to think of her own mural and thus was "forced" to work on Tropical Birds mural because it was too "big". (Forced as in, the teacher kind of went, "Oh, go work with this person" before my friend could object.) When she told me she was working with this person, K, because the mural was "too big" (we all kind of er, dislike K) I scoffed. Too big? My mural was twice the size of that, and I was working ALONE. ALL ALONE. My other friend, J, who was working individually, had a mural the size of mine too. The two of us had the biggest murals, and we were working ALONE.

Anyway, funny story. L is a better artist than K, the original Tropical Birds artist. K went up to my teacher crying (yes, crying) one day because she saw that someone vandalized the mural. There was this big black line on the tree trunk which messed up the entire mural. This "big black line" was the newest shadow L had put in. When L told me, I went over to the mural to see what this disaster was. When L showed me this "mess up", L and I just ended up laughing. I saw no mess up. In fact, I believed the shadow made the mural look nicer, along with some other friends who we asked.
Ah, poor L. She was stuck working with K who knew nothing of shadows. L spent so many days after school fixing up all the mistakes K did D:

Anyway, I think, to an extent, I was happy working by myself. No need to see anyone else mess up on my mural and no need to be afraid of someone hating me for doing something wrong. Heh.

I'm pretty sure I've said all of the statistics of it all, but I can't seem to find the post... so I'll just write it again.

Mural took approximately 2 hours every day for 2 months. However, when the deadline started to approach, I ended up spending 3-4 hours a day. It gets pretty tiring and lonesome, but I did have my friend J (the other one who had a huge ass mural to draw by himself) come and visit once in a while, since he stayed after for a long time as well. Too bad his was on the other side of the school. The biggest brush I used was the size of a silver dollar, no joke. It wasn't until after I finished the mural did I find out we had the big brushes you use for painting walls at home. I was pretty upset with that D: To tell you the scope of my paint use, I finished three new bottles of blue acrylic paint x_x
